He can be if you don't follow Base Saiya-jins > Piccolo. With that implication he'd get spanked even by Pui-Pui. Piccolo forfeited against Kaioshin and implied the gap was so big that he wasn't even going to bother to try. Kaioshin was terrified of Pui-Pui and Babidi believed Pui-Pui could take Kaioshin and the Saiya-jins at once, even apparently implying only the Saiya-jins would be problematic. Base Saiya-jins > Pui-Pui > Base Saiya-jins (Estimated) > Kaioshin > Piccolo |

I always figured he forfeited more out of respect than fear of his power, though I haven't read the manga (I really want too, though). I always got the impression Piccolo overestimated the Supreme Kai's power simply because of his title. I do think the base Saiyans were more powerful than Piccolo, but not by much. I certainly don't believe Piccolo would have been completely outclassed and humiliated like Pui-Pui was against Vegeta. Maybe there is something in the manga that would explain a lot of things, but I seriously considered Pui-Pui to be about 2 sagas past his prime. I consider him a 2nd form Frieza level fighter. Like I said, this is just me watching the anime and it's very possible I'm wrong, but that's just how I always saw him. |

considering piccolo indeed wasnt piccolo anymore but the nameless namek once again, he had im pretty sure gained alot better control over his telepathic abilities as kami. Having BEEN kami. But im sure that since he has been both and has the experience of THREE lifetimes, i would assume it would be easier for him to shake off an outside influence. As far as power goes? piccoloc last true power up was in the rosat. Which doesnt surprise me as he was the strongest namek in any namek history, and since he DID get the spiritual training im sure that without it he wouldnt have even gotten THAT far. Although i must admit that the anime pui pui seems like he would get his butt handed to him by anime piccolo. Cmon, he's only strong as he came from a ten times gravity planet. Other than that? it seemed like he wasnt gonna do much better. Piccolo wouldnt be affected by ten times gravity, no z fighter would. NONE!! |

people say base saiyna > Piccolo, because Dabra picked Goku/Vegeta/Gohan. Really, no one had powered up at all, and Piccolo's power ups tend to be as large as a Saiyan going SSJ because of fusion. Back in Artificials, no one really felt how powerful Piccolo had become compared to what SSJ Goku/Vegeta has pushed out until he began to fight with #20. Imperfect Cell had underestimated Piccolo until he powered up. Kaioshin wasn't crapping his pants over Pui Pui. He just didn't really know how strong the Saiyan's would be. As far as he knew, they were only comparably stronger than Friezaa, which the Base Saiyans actually were at the time. So Vegeta as a Base Saiyan up against an unknown fighter and being in the enemies' lair is cause for pause for Kaioshin. It wholly depends on what numbers you use, and is always up for debate. |

no, you put it into words just fine, the numbers arent even needed at this point in dbz, only forms and experience. i think people are short changing piccolo based on that assumption. i actually think he could power up enough to beat pui pui if he could put his hands on semi-perfect cell. Pui pui, only had a ten g advantage, not very strong in my book, and comparitively could possibly be killed by frieza. |

Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

If Piccolo became a Majin, he would be strong enough to give Gohan or Dabura a good fight. Gohan's skills has atrophied and given this Dabura was only able to have a slight edge, so the majin power up should put Piccolo in that ballpark IMO. Vegeta and Goku however would still be in a different league. |
| We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own. | |
